The association Asap Europe is created by a group of young people living in the region Puglia, Italy, who have participated in several European activities in youth field. We have been engaged in projects such as “European Voluntary Service”, “Erasmus”, “Leonardo “, “Erasmus for young Entrepreneurs” and activities in youth field like youth exchanges, trainings and seminars within the YiA Programme and Erasmus+ and many others, acquiring several tools and skills we are now able to share with participants. We have been participating and helped in facilitation of similar activities and this is what gave us the motivation to continue with our own action.
The main aim of our association is to foster youth participation of young people in civil society, to bring social change, development and improvement of society where we live, using different tools and mainly focused in youth field.
ASAP main objective is to promote international mobility of youngsters through training courses, seminars and cultural exchanges abroad. Our idea is to disseminate the values of volunteering and social inclusion and to raise awareness about European citizenship. Moreover, we are deeply involved in promoting social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and European awareness at the local level.
We believe the change starts from small realities and everyday life reaching step by step an higher level. European awareness and intercultural dialogue are subjects that need to be developed through different experiences and promoted in our communities first. Differences should be considered as an enrichment instead of barriers. That’s why globalization means to us sharing various points of view so we focus our attention on similarities and differences to build up a peaceful environment and constructive relationships among human beings and populations.
In 2013 we have been financed by the region Puglia with the grant “Principi Attivi 2012 – Giovani idee per una Puglia migliore”.
